Profile
Twila Joyce Trimble, age 83 met her Heavenly Father on July 8, 2022. Her energy and her warm smile are things we will always remember.
Twila was born on her father Joy C Graham’s farm, near Ashley, Ohio. In 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Howard Trimble. Twila worked side-by-side with Howard until his passing in 1994, when her life was forever changed.
She was a graduate of Elm Valley School and Columbus Business College. She worked at The Department of Agriculture for 10 years.
Twila was co-owner of Trimble Insurance Agency in Delaware, Ohio since 1961. Working with her husband Howard, alongside her son, Greg, and then grandson, Kirt, until her death.
She was the dear mother of Greg Trimble (Jodi Norton) and deceased son, Bryan Trimble.
Twila’s greatest joy, deepest love, and the reason for the twinkle in her eyes were her grandchildren: Kirt (Janna) Trimble, Nate (Tori) Trimble, and Tara Trimble; along with her two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Hannah Trimble.
Twila was a life-long member of the Ashley United Methodist Church where she sang with the choir, worked with the church women, and served as a trustee. Twila sang bass with The Sweet Adelines Chorus for 20 years. She was a long-time member of the Ashley Progressive Mothers Club and the Radnor Mom Club. Twila loved cooking and baking, producing prize-winning goodies for the Ohio State Fair, American Electric Bake-Off, and the American Dairy Bake-Off.
She loved her family and the camaraderie she had with so many friends and associates.
Twila is survived by her sisters-in law Ann Trimble and Ginny Trimble, and their families; niece Kim (Dana) Davis; nephews Brad (Deloris) Trimble, Kevin Trimble, Robin (Debbie) Trimble; cousins Willard and Debbie Johnson and their families; along with many special friends.
Relatives who preceded her in death are grandparents Elmer and Goldie Main and Thad and Lena Graham; special aunts and uncles Bill and Vera Johnson and Steve and Virginia Stephenson; cousin Sherie (Johnson) Jaucius; and step grandson, Trustin Berry.
We know in our hearts that while she would have liked more time here with us, she will be so very glad to see her beloved Howard again. And although she is off to her next big adventure in heaven, she took us for one heck of a ride here on Earth. Her kind deeds and sunny disposition will not fade from our memory.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ashley United Methodist Church, or People In Need of Delaware County, Inc.
