In case you hadn’t heard, and we’re not even sure that’s possible, the latest smartphone game app to take over the world is Pokemon Go.

Based on a video game and subsequent animated TV show first introduced in the ’90s, the Pokemon Go game encourages “kids” (many of the fans are in the 20’s now, and we know people considerably older who are using the app) to get outside and “capture” Pokemon characters out in the “wild”. Smartphones in hand, the game players are logging some serious kilometers tracking down the elusive Pokemon.

Of course, the insurance industry has to make everything about, well, insurance – so the Insurance Information Institute has released a mostly tongue-in-cheek article about insuring the exposures created by playing Pokemon Go. You can read it here.
